Rhythm and Gold 2021 takes place from Saturday 9th, Sunday 10th of January in St Bathans Central Otago

SATURDAY:

10:00am - 1:00am

Ticket holders arriving after 21:00 can be wrist-banded by gate security but for safety reasons will have to leave their vehicles at the front gate until they reopen the following day. No driving onsite afterdark.


PASSOUTS:

You can leave and return to the festival as long as you are still wearing your wristband. If you return after 21:00 you will have to leave your vehicle at the front gate until the following morning. There is no re-entry allowed after 7:00am on Sunday.


SUNDAY

10:00am-3:00pm

Entry to the St Bathans Village Fete is free, come check out the stalls and family entertainment. Proudly supported by the Cambrian-St Bathans Rural Women.

Camping

Free camping is available at the St Bathans domain, located within short walking distance from the village.

Families have a dedicated area, please respect other campers

Campers may line up at 9 a.m. Friday, but no earlier by town ordinance. Our friendly staff will direct you. The camping area opens at noon for folks to grab a spot and settle in.

Longtime festival-goers will tell you that camping makes a festival not only extra convenient, but extra special. Camping means more time with friends and family.

For Families

10-3pm Saturday and Sunday

Our dedicated kidzone area is the perfect distraction for families

Children will be entertained with face painting, water slide, and outdoor games, all securely located beside the Gold Office.

Waahi Tapu Sites - PLEASE KEEP OFF

St Bathans is a significant archaeological site.

The buildings and relics that are important to our area, records our ancestors history and are protected by law.

Blue Lake

The Blue Lake is a natural precious resource to the area

Please respect other users

Maritime Rule Part 91, Boats must abide by a 5-knot speed limit.

This is a swimming lake suitable for kayakers and recreational users.

Please leave your boats at home

No Glass

So we can all continue to frolic about in bare feet, please don’t bring any glass containers. If you need essential items just decant them before you come.

Smoke-Free Areas

The event is designated smoke-free.

We encourage you to respect this.

Cigarettes are not sold onsite. There is absolutely no smoking inside tents buildings and structures.

No BYO booze

The smuggling and consumption of BYO alcohol contravenes our resource consent and liquor licensing agreements.

Because we want to stage the festival for many years to come, we take this very seriously.

No Pets

Please leave your pets at home we would hate for there to be any issue that could spoil someone's fun

No Open Fire

There is a total fire ban in St Bathans, this is strictly enforced

All open fires, fire toys, pyrotechnics and fireworks are banned in accordance with rural fire authority.

Contained gas BBQs are OK if used safely and well away from flammable materials.

No antisocial material.

This includes but is not limited to weapons and gang patches. Private generators and PAs.
